Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially announced the games joining the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalog for October 2026, headlined by the arrival of Mafia: The Old Country on PlayStation 5 starting October 20.
The subscription lineup delivers a robust batch of titles encompassing cinematic period adventures, major open-world journeys, day-one releases, and retro classics for higher-tier subscribers. The standout attraction is Mafia: The Old Country, a third-person narrative action title that immerses players in the brutal origins of organized crime across early twentieth-century Sicily. Taking on the role of Enzo Favara, players must prove their allegiance to the Family amidst bloody vendettas, stiletto knives, sawed-off lupara shotguns, and vintage turn-of-the-century motorcars.
Alongside this mob saga, Horizon Forbidden West makes a grand return to the service for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Players can once again step into Aloy's boots across the majestic yet deadly frontier of the Forbidden West to battle awe-inspiring machines and uncover past secrets. The lineup also features a day-one launch in Mycopunk, a four-player cooperative looter shooter where players control discarded robot exterminators tackling a global fungal infestation with hundreds of gear modifications.
Day-one debuts, horror, and role-playing adventures
The offerings expand further across both PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers. Available from October 14 on PlayStation 5 is The Midnight Walk, a dark fantasy adventure handcrafted entirely with real-life clay and animated in stop motion by the creators of Lost in Random, complete with full PlayStation VR2 support. Looking toward late October, releases scheduled for October 27 in regions such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan include Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2, Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition, and the Unreal Engine 5 racing title Monster Energy Supercross 25 – The Official Video Game.
Role-playing enthusiasts can dive straight into the world of Dahna and Rena with the comprehensive edition of Tales of Arise, while horror fans must navigate tricky environmental puzzles and evade terrifying toys inside the sinister depths of the Playtime Co. factory.
Classic gems and game trials for PlayStation Plus Premium
Subscribers to PlayStation Plus Premium receive two celebrated legacy titles on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Headlining the retro arrivals is Dino Crisis 2, Capcom's classic survival action sequel where Regina and series newcomer Dylan battle over ten dinosaur species across lush prehistoric environments following a catastrophic Third Energy temporal accident. Joining it is RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition, bringing complete management over theme park finances, attractions, and guest satisfaction across numerous scenarios and sandbox modes.
Furthermore, Premium members gain access to new limited-time Game Trials starting October 20 for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mortal Shell II. These trials arrive alongside ongoing seasonal HorrorFest promotions, giving active members access to exclusive digital bundles like the Vibrant Halloween Skin Pack for World War Z.
