Bandai Card Games confirmed at New York Comic Con that its new trading card game NARUTO CARD GAME will launch worldwide in June 2027. The company will accompany this rollout with in-store preview sessions starting in February and a massive global campaign distributing one million demo decks.
The announcement took place during the franchise panel at the New York convention, where an animated teaser produced by Studio Pierrot, the studio behind the original anime adaptation, was screened. This competitive title belongs to Project Rasengan, a long-term initiative expanding the Naruto and Boruto universe across manga, anime, and games through 2029.
Three Starter Decks and the First Booster Pack
The June 2027 launch lineup features three pre-constructed Starter Decks centered on Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Gaara. Each box contains everything required to begin playing immediately, offering distinct tactical styles centered on their respective leaders.
Alongside the decks, Bandai will release the first booster pack, titled Enter: Naruto Uzumaki!. This set introduces ninjas and jutsu techniques drawn from both original NARUTO and NARUTO SHIPPUDEN, enabling players to enhance starter builds or assemble personalized competitive decks.
The publisher stated that the title spans characters from NARUTO, NARUTO SHIPPUDEN, and BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS. Bandai is returning to ninja card games after its previous trading card run between 2006 and 2013, making this a distinct official entry separate from other projects like Naruto Mythos.
Demo Schedule and In-Store Exclusive Items
Players will be able to test the strategic mechanics before the game hits store shelves. The Premier Demo Events will take place at select card shops utilizing the BANDAI TCG+ app, organized across two early windows: February 5 to 19, 2027, and February 19 to March 5, 2027.
A broader retail expansion will follow from March 5 to 31, 2027, opening up trials across more participating locations. The goal of these gatherings is to teach the rules to both competitive veterans and anime followers who have never touched a trading card game before.
Starting in spring 2027, a worldwide campaign will distribute one million free demo decks globally. During store demos and select stops of the BANDAI CARD GAMES FEST 26-27 tour, such as Orlando and London, attendees can also purchase two advance products: the Official Playmat - NARUTO VS. SASUKE - and the Premium Card Collection Vol.00 - CHAKRA Set.
Bandai noted that registration details, participating venues, and card art reveals will appear on official channels, with the next major batch of news slated for this December at Jump Festa 2027.
